Rebuilding a Toyota Truck

This truck was hit hard in the driver front wheel. You can see the big kink in the frame just behind the control arms, time to find a new frame!

This truck had a good one, straight as an arrow! It only needed a small bit of rust repair before being ready for paint

Here I am trying to get the cab a little more straight before disassembly

Not much left here, now I can begin assembling things onto the new frame

The chassis is getting pretty far, now time to get somewhere on the cab

Now I need to take the cab back off and give it a proper paint job, but not before patching a few rust holes in the floor

Since the truck was already taken apart I decided to put a lower mileage engine in it. I also decided to re-seal it and take care of a few regular maintenance items while it was out. I even repainted the oil pan, I always liked metallic green on an oil pan Ha Ha.

Time to get back to assembly!

Cooking with gas now!!

And that is that. There were a few small bugs at first but they were sorted out pretty quickly. This was a great truck and I drove it just like this for a few years before I decided to stretch it into an extended cab
