Handrail at a Condo Complex
I started by cutting out and drilling all the mounting plates and posts in the shop. The top of the concrete is on a slope and the side of the concrete is not plumb or consistent. After numbering and temporarily mounting the plates I marked a plumb line and used a level on the side of each one to see what direction it was leaning. After taking the plates back off I tacked each post to the top or bottom of the corresponding plate depending on which way the plate was leaning when it was bolted to the concrete. This allowed me to bend Them around during final installation to make them perfectly plumb before fully welding them to the mounting plates.
This doesn’t fit because the slope of the concrete changes about 7 feet from the end, nothing a little heat can’t fix though
Time for some paint!
