House, Garage, and Light Construction
In 2014 I purchased my first home. It was a small property with a very large garage in need of a lot of work. I sold it in 2021. Boy did I learn a lot in those years! I continue to improve the property in which I currently reside, learning something every step of the way. Below you will find a handful of pictures that show some of the things I can do!
Here are a few before pictures of the biggest room in my old garage. It was a mess. It was dirty, a lot of the ceiling was falling down, the electric was a disaster. One of the garage doors had been boarded up and that was falling apart. Below you can see what it looked like when I was done.
Here are the after pictures, What a transformation! Some of the work accomplished here included removing and replacing the entire ceiling, installing compressed air piping all around the room, removing and replacing all the electric up to the circuit breaker box, installing new lights, and installing a new garage door.
I installed 2 mini splits on this house. This involved running electric from the circuit breaker box and installing the electrical disconnects, mounting the outdoor units on the outside of the house, mounting the indoor units in the interior of the house, and connecting the outdoor units to the indoor units with all the necessary refrigerant piping and wires.
These are midway through a bathroom I added. There was not a bathroom here previously so I had to do a bit of plumbing. I tried to take some after pictures but the room is so small its hard to get any good shots.
This bedroom turned out really nice! I ended up taking all the drywall down and finding this house was built using pole barn style construction. The walls were not strait or plumb so I ended up framing new ones in front of the old ones. I spray foam insulated the walls, installed new electric in the entire room, installed 2 new windows and much more. It turned out really nice. Many thanks to the friends and family who helped me out with this one!
